“Last year we saw a renewed focus on our core activities of providing services, developing links between different communities and empowering local people to engage in transforming their neighbourhood. During the year we have consolidated our board of directors, staff and volunteer teams. At board level we now have local people from a range of backgrounds who in tern bring with them wide- ranging skills. We believe that this not only helps us to pick on and reflect local issues, but also enables us to be more effective than ever in meetings the challenges of these needs – reinforcing our growing reputation across the city.
On behalf of the board, I would like to thank all those involved. We look forward to next year, both as a year of consolidation, and an opportunity to continue developing new and innovative responses to the issues we will face over the coming years – bringing a brighter future for the whole community. I would like to thank the board, our staff and volunteers who have played a pivotal role in the success of BEAP”.
