Bangladeshi Health Promotion Project
Our Health Promotion Project provided a culturally appropriate health promotion services to the local Bangladeshi/BME Community in Bradford.
Our service focussed on the following areas:
– Reducing Tobacco usage, tobacco smoking in the community
– Improving Child Health & contributing to the reduction of infant mortality
– Preventing and reducing obesity, malnutrition and other chronic life limiting illnesses across all ages ranges and population
– Improving the mental health of individuals, communities and populations, and contributing to the mental wellbeing of the district as a whole
Older Peoples Day Care & Drop-In Service
This project is funded by social services and provides a service for older men and women (aged 50+). Our women service includes a social day care packed with activities and a lunch whilst our men service was a social drop in with light refreshments.
The service is extremely popular and ideal to channel essential services and information such as health, benefits to a name a few….
Midland Road Nursery & Children Centre Activities
In partnership with MRNCC, we have delivered a number of services and provisions to the local community. Mother & Toddler Groups, Baby Massage sessions, ESOL, Sewing session for mothers amongst many other services delivered throughout the year.
