Older People

Day care services

Day Services are provided for people who require assistance with basic tasks of daily living and are unable to access social and recreational activities independently at Beap. An assessment will be required to establish whether an individual is eligible for Day Services.

Day Services can be provided

  • by attending a Day Centre. This can offer opportunities to learn new skills and hobbies or relearn old ones, meet new friends and enjoy trips out. Meals and refreshments are usually included and transport may be offered subject to being eligible.

Adult Social Care staff of BEAP will support individuals who have been assessed as needing Day Services to access information regarding a range of activities available within their local community.

Gardening project

At our projects we use gardening to help our local people improve their health and wellbeing, increase their confidence and provide the opportunity for them to learn new skills. BEAP feel it is important to help older people with mental health problems and other disabilities, regain confidence, build self esteem and motivation, feel better physically and mentally and create new social networks.
